Iceland

This is one of the best sculptures I’ve ever seen in my life. The artist, Reykjavik, decided to put this amazing work of art in Iceland, because he said, ” the real beauty lies in the coldest, loneliest place in the world.

One cold day, an average guy decided to make an ice sculpture based on the catholic faith.
The sculpture is supposed to represent the time when Jesus split the ocean apart so the apostles can walk through it. Nobody knows who made it though. What a shame.

The Universe Chandelier: New York City, New York

It’s huge. It’s hanging in a room with plain white walls—there it is—the entire universe. That’s the thing I want to understand, to know. One of the unexpected side effects of having all of the metallic parts be shiny aluminum is that you can see your reflection in it. And the central sphere? It curves away from you, so your reflection looks terribly small and far away. And insignificant. I liked sitting on the floor ten feet away from the sculpture, staring at all the bits, and my little reflections, until I felt as if I needed to scream or else I’d fall off the earth. Now that’s being affected by art.

“I decided right then and there that I was going to be a full-time sculptor, and that was without having had any art classes under my belt at all,” he said. “Most people start out in art and then discover they can’t make any money at it and go into finance or whatever pays better. I pretty much decided to do the opposite.” - Micheal Alfano

Nathan Sawaya is an artist who creates pretty amazing sculptures out of LEGO bricks. And they’re not just recreations of objects, like a car or a building, but actual creative sculptures. Although none of them compare to my LEGO masterpiece: a giant rectangle.

One day, Ron Mueck decided to base a sculpture based on the fear of kids around the world. This sculpture has a lot of meaning to it.

Australia-born Ron Mueck made this incredible sculpture in Sydney, Australia. I have to say this sculpture made my jaw drop by this. I thought some giant came by and someone chopped his head off. I love this one.
